Independent London Publishing House needed a social media revamp to better integrate the creativity and knowledge of authors and staff
REQUIREMENT: Michael O’Mara Books is a successful independent London publishing house who were ready to tackle some of the bigger multinationals on social media. With a range of topics and talent to draw on, the need was to use social media as a tool for greater conversation and engagement in order to drive quality book buyers to their Amazon store with a strategy for creating more effective content in-house. Barriers included multiple profiles per platform for the different types of books published, each targeting different niche audiences, and firing up the internal skill sets available to improve the output in line with the O’Mara team’s ambitions.
RESULTS: Samantha worked with O’Mara Books to establish a social strategy based on their brand purpose, identifying who their heavy book buyers are, and what content they are able to create in-house with staff and authors that would resonate with their audience. Production process templates were required for advised content creation opportunities (in-step with book publishing timelines) and integrated into content planning sessions. The O’Mara team are passionate about their business and were quickly able to integrate the playbook recommendations to revamp their social media presence with confidence and efficiency.
